Olga Sezneva

Olga Sezneva (PhD, New York University) is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam. Her main specialization is the post-WWII forced migration in Russia and Eastern Europe, and her published work focuses specifically on the politics of memory of the forced migration and transformations of urban space. Olga’s research and teaching extended in 2013 to questions of post-Soviet migration when she joined an international team project at the European University at St. Petersburg to conduct research on the spatial mobility of Russian-speaking ICT professionals. Her publications on migration and urban space appeared in the International Journal of Urban History and Environment & Planning D, and in Ethnic and Racial Studies.
