Rusudan Zabakhidze

 

Rusudan Zabakhidze is coordinating the annual International Conference of Europeanists and CES Insights Webinar Series at the Council for European Studies. Rusudan has completed a non-resident fellowship at Middle East Institute’s frontier Europe Initiative where her research focused on outcomes and prospects of the US and NATO military cooperation with Georgia and Ukraine. Rusudan is an alumna of the German Marshal Fund’s Policy Designers Network where her contributions focus on defense and security, future of the Eastern Partnership and future of democracy in Europe. Previous to these experiences, Rusudan has briefly worked at the Open Society Foundation’s Eurasia Program in London, UK. She has also completed a visiting research fellowship at the Embassy of Georgia to Ireland, and GLOBSEC. Rusudan has extensive experience working in civil society organizations in Georgia on the issues of conflict transformation, non-formal education, civic activism and European Integration. Rusudan obtained MSc in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies from the University of Glasgow, Dublin City University, and Charles University in Prague. Rusudan also holds a BA in International Relations from Tbilisi State University.
