Andrea Gawrich

 

Andrea Gawrich is professor of Political Science with a special focus on International Integration at the Institute for Political Science, Justus Liebig University Gießen, Germany. She is vice director of the Giessen Centre on Eastern European Studies and vice-Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Cultural Studies as well as deputy chairperson of the German Society of Political Science. Andrea Gawrich recently published in European Security, Journal of Global Security Studies, Journal of Global Security Studies and East European Politics and Societies. She received her PhD at the Ruhr University Bochum and her post-doctoral degree (Dr. habilitata) from the University of Kiel. Her main areas of research refer to regional security governance, international conflict management, European Neighborhood Policy, international democracy promotion and minority integration in Eastern Europe. In recent years, she has published on regional security governance, territorial conflicts in Eastern Europe and international conflict management related to the EU, the OSCE, the NATO and the Council of Europe.
